All volunteers are required to have Megan's Law clearance and proof of a negative TB test on record in the school office.  The TB test must be performed within the last 4 years. TB tests must be kept current to continue volunteering.
If your student forgot an item or lunch, please drop it off in the main office. To avoid classroom interruption, the office will call and leave a message in the teachers voicemail and your student will be sent to the office.

Fifth Grade Exception:  Independence and organization are standards in fifth grade and the teachers ask for your cooperation.  They request that no reminders be given to their fifth grade students for missing items.
When your child is absent, please call the attendance hotline (858) 613-0693
Students arriving late to school must come to the main office before going to class.  After five tardies, students will receive a warning letter from the principal regarding prompt arrival at school.  A second and third letter will be sent if the excessive tardy situation continues.  Please note: Intra/Interdistrict Transfers (IDT) may be revoked for those students who are unable to maintain satisfactory attendance.

Please remember – Tardy students walking into class impact the learning environment for everyone.  Please be on time.
Should there be a planned absence of five days or more please see Lynn Sullivan in the front office, as soon as possible to set up a homework contract for the student. A contract should also be used for extended illnesses.  A minimum of one week is required to set up an OCIS Contract.
School dismissal times are 1:45 pm Monday -  Friday.  Please be at school to pick up your child at that time; there is no supervision after-school. If it is not possible for you to pick up your student before this time, please note that ESS (Extended School Services) is available for a charge, from 11:55am - 6:00 pm.

For the 2022-23 school year, all students will have access to a free breakfast and lunch.  These meals are at no cost to all families.

If your student has lost a sweatshirt/jacket or any other item, Shoal Creek's lost and found is located in the lunch area.  Please be sure to check periodically, as the lost and found items are donated periodically.
